Speed 5 is the fastest level on our 1.1 km track. No step in between, no limiter holding you back: the full power of the e-kart, for anyone with a Gold licence. Every Monday evening, in Overdrive.

How much faster is Speed 5?

About two seconds a lap. The track record in Speed 5 stands at 1:04.500, in Speed 4 at 1:06.500. The motor spins 300 rpm higher, and you feel it most on the twin banking and in the spiral-up: braking later, back on the power sooner, and a kart that challenges you in every single corner.

From the stands you can barely see the difference. Behind the wheel you feel it straight away.

Gold licence only

Speed 5 is not an option you tick when booking. You earn it. Drive three laps under 1:10 in a Speed 4 (Race) session, then ask for your Gold licence at the reception desk. It sits on your Experience ID, never expires and is valid in Antwerp and in Eupen.

When and how do you drive Speed 5?

Every Monday evening, in our Overdrive: two blocks of 28 minutes, with a half-hour break in between. From 7 pm to 10 pm, all year round.

You book online with your Experience ID, not as a guest. The system checks your Gold licence before you get a seat. The price is the same as a regular session, and on Monday the Overdrive price applies in Speed 5 too: €47 for 4 sessions.

If demand grows, we will open extra slots. Until then, Monday is Speed 5 night.

Who is Speed 5 for?

For anyone who already drives with us regularly and has Speed 4 under control. The drivers next to you all hold a Gold licence, so the pace is high and the level is even. That is exactly why Speed 5 feels different: no traffic, just racing.

No Gold yet? How to dip under 1:10

Three laps under 1:10, in the same session. That is not one fast lap, it is three clean ones in a row. What helps: look far ahead rather than at the kart in front, turn in smoothly and let the kart roll instead of wrestling it through every corner, brake late but in one go before the twin banking, and keep the spiral-up flowing. Your lap times land on your Experience ID after every session, so you see straight away where you are losing time.

Four sessions in one evening give you the best odds. That is why Overdrive on Sunday or Monday is the shortest road to your Gold licence.

FAQ

We have 4 speed levels, and each one has its own capacity on the track.

Start (Speed 2): from 1.30 metres and compulsory for every child under 10, with up to 16 drivers in a session. Accompanying parents and adults drive at the same speed, keeping the focus on the kids’ experience.

Fun (Speed 3): from age 10, or younger with a Bronze licence, and compulsory for anyone under 14. Up to 28 drivers in a session. A decent pace for casual drivers who are there to enjoy themselves.

Race (Speed 4): from age 14, or younger with a Silver licence. Up to 32 drivers in a session. Noticeably faster than most tracks, so it is best to have driven a kart several times before trying it, even as an adult with some driving experience.

Pro (Speed 5): reserved for drivers holding a Gold licence, earned by meeting a lap-time quota during Race sessions.

To keep the experience optimal for everyone, we use a licence system. The best-known is the Gold licence, which unlocks Speed 5, earned by hitting a lap-time quota (3 laps under 1:10) during Speed 4 (Race) sessions. There are two more: Bronze, awarded to children who hit a quota during Start sessions (3 laps under 2:00), letting them move up to Fun sessions even if they’re under 10; and Silver, awarded to children who hit a quota during Fun sessions (3 laps under 1:25), letting them move up to Race sessions even if they’re under 14. Licences aren’t automatic, after your session, just ask at reception whether you’ve qualified. If so, it’ll be activated for your next visit.

The Gold licence is awarded if you complete 3 laps under 1:10 within the same session. If you manage it, just come to the reception desk to claim your licence. Once you have it, you’ll be allowed to drive in Speed 5.

Yes, the Overdrive deal is also available in Speed 5, but on Mondays only.

Not at the moment, we currently have no competitions in Speed 5. We may organise some in the future, so feel free to follow us on social media to keep up with our latest news.

Both live on your Experience ID, so you see them in our app and on your profile online. Your Bronze, Silver or Gold licence is attached to the same profile, which is why your level follows you from one visit to the next.

Yes. A Gold licence is valid at both venues. If you earned it in Eupen, you can drive Speed 5 in Antwerp straight away, and the other way round.

Log in with your Experience ID and book an Overdrive session on Monday evening. Guest checkout is not available for Speed 5: the system first checks that a Gold licence is attached to your profile.

No. Once earned, your Gold licence stays valid. It lives on your Experience ID, so you will find it in the app and on your online profile.
