Experience Factory Eupen opened its doors in 2004, 200 metres from its current location, under the name Eupener Karting. In 2014, it moved to its current building and was renamed Karting Eupen. On the eve of Covid, the name changed again to Experience Factory Eupen to reflect what we truly are: an experience factory at the heart of an industrial estate.

Experience Factory Eupen is located at Rue de l’Industrie 37, 4700 Eupen, 15 minutes from the outskirts of Liège, 20 minutes from Aachen city centre (Germany), and less than 30 minutes from Maastricht.

Experience Factory Eupen doesn’t just stand out from other karting tracks in the region, it stands out from many others across Europe. Its infrastructure is simply out of the ordinary: a multilingual welcome, a large brasserie area, a spacious briefing room, one of the longest indoor tracks in the world, a kart fleet renewed regularly to remain at the cutting edge, rigorous kart maintenance, and hall ventilation powered by 36 fans. In short, it’s hard to find a real point of comparison.

Given its roots, petrol-powered karting remains the flagship activity. Alongside it, a dedicated karting shop, axe throwing and billiards have since been added, and arcade games will be added in October to round out the offering even further.

Experience Factory Eupen is a multi-activity centre. Opened as a karting track more than 20 years ago, it quickly became known as one of Europe’s leading karting tracks, notably hosting the Indoor Karting World Championships in 2011. Thanks to its infrastructure, track and professionalism, the venue became known internationally: 12-hour races, 24-hour races, top-level competitions. It’s all happened here, and that racing DNA remains at the core of the centre, as evidenced by the dedicated karting equipment and F1 merchandise shop on site. More recently, axe throwing was added to the offering, and arcade games will be added in October to round it out further, officially making this centre a true Experience Factory.

On site, you can pay by cash, debit or credit card (American Express not accepted), sport & culture voucher, or gift card. Online, only debit/credit card and gift cards are accepted.

One hour of axe throwing costs 24 euros per person.

A membership card (27 euros/year) gives permanent discounts on karting, the shop and the bar, and promotional offers come around regularly during the week. There are also discounts for groups above 20 people not taking exclusive use of the track, as well as offers such as the Junior Deal. There’s no traditional subscription system. There is a membership card (27 euros/year) that gives you permanent discounts (karting, shop, bar), plus regular weekday promotions. There’s also already a pack where, when buying 2 karting sessions per person, an extra hour of axe throwing can be added for just 5 euros more.

There are 3 types of sessions. Bambini (for beginner children) and Family (for children with some experience, teens and adults) both last 14 minutes, while Racing sessions (for adults with driving experience) last 18 minutes. Bambini and Family cost 24 euros for one session, while Racing sessions cost 32 euros. Prices decrease the more sessions you book. Also check our current promotions.

A child can come with friends or family without needing specific parental consent. However, a responsible adult in the group must have an Experience ID and sign the safety waiver.

Yes, you can privatise the track just for your group, with a minimum of 20 people.

If you booked via our website and give us enough advance notice, we can reschedule your booking. Refunds, however, are not possible.

You can book by phone, WhatsApp, email, or directly through our website.

Booking isn’t mandatory, but it’s strongly recommended to make sure you get a spot.

Yes. The same Experience ID works at Experience Factory Eupen and at Experience Factory Antwerp, so you do not create a second profile when you visit the other venue. Your wallet credit follows you too: you can top up at one venue and spend it at the other.

On the login screen, enter the e-mail address or the racer name you registered with. If the password does not come back to you, use the “Forgot your password?” link on that same screen. If you are still stuck, reception can find your profile with your name and your date of birth.

Both live on your Experience ID, so you see them in our app and on your profile online. Your Silver or Gold licence is attached to the same profile, which is why your level follows you from one session to the next.

No, it is not compulsory. A responsible adult in the group can hold the Experience ID and sign the safety waiver for the children. It becomes necessary as soon as a child wants access to Racing sessions through a Silver licence, because the licence and the lap times it is earned with are attached to the driver.

The wallet is the credit attached to your Experience ID. You top it up, then pay for your activities and your drinks from it without cash, using the QR code in our app. The more you top up, the more bonus credit you get, and the credit can be shared with your family. It also works at both our venues, so you can top up in Eupen and spend in Antwerp, or the other way round.

No. It is free and there is no subscription. You only pay for the activities you book.

Online on our Experience ID page, or on a kiosk at reception. You are asked for your last name, your first name and your date of birth. Creating it at home saves time at reception on a busy day, and it lets you complete your safety check-in in advance.

It depends on the activity. For karting and axe throwing every participant needs their own Experience ID, because that is where the safety waiver is signed and where the results are recorded. For the bar games, one Experience ID in the group is enough, since that is what the table is paid with. You can create yours at home before you come, or on a kiosk at reception when you arrive.

Your Experience ID is your personal driver profile at Experience Factory. It is free, you create it once, and everything is attached to it: your lap times, your licence, your wallet credit and your bookings. On site you identify yourself with the QR code in our app.

Yes, they are available at reception to celebrate a win.

Not after every session, only during official races. The podium remains available for photos, though, and medals and trophies can be requested at reception.

Weight can slightly disadvantage heavier drivers, but the differences mostly come down to driving style. A 5 kg difference represents about 0.3 seconds per lap.

You pay for a session duration (14 or 18 minutes). You can return to the pits during the session, but the clock keeps running, so you’ll lose driving time.

It’s a sport, but the Easy Drive system fitted on adult karts makes cornering easier, and children’s karts are lighter. Generally, most people can comfortably complete two sessions.

Tyres last around 300 hours of use, which is roughly 2 to 3 months.

Yes, you can film your session and share it on social media. Cameras are also available to rent and can be mounted on your helmet. Just ask at reception.

Comfortable sportswear is recommended. Heels, sandals and bare feet are not allowed.

Wearing a helmet is mandatory. You’re welcome to bring your own, as long as it provides chin protection. Only full-face and motocross helmets are allowed.

Yes, everyone visiting for the first time goes through the briefing room, where a marshal gives the necessary information, either verbally or via video. Gold licence holders are exempt, except during official races.

Our track is among the longest indoor tracks in the world, measuring 1.1 km in length.

It depends on the session type: up to 32 karts in Racing sessions, 25 in Family sessions, and 15 in Bambini sessions.

Junior karts develop 6 horsepower, adult karts 9 horsepower, and the duo kart 13 horsepower. Despite these power differences, all karts reach the same top speed: 60 to 65 km/h.

You need to be at least 1.30 m tall to reach the pedals; between 1.20 m and 1.30 m, a child can ride accompanied by an adult in a duo kart. There’s no real weight limit, as we have three karts with wide seats, but above 2 m or 125 kg, driving comfort may be limited.

The following people are not allowed to drive: adults who are not medically fit to drive, pregnant women, people with a blood alcohol level above 0.5 g/L, people under the influence of drugs, people suffering from anaemia or heart, respiratory or back conditions, and people who have experienced an unexplained loss of consciousness within the past five years.

At Experience Factory Eupen, our karts are petrol-powered, not electric. Since the building was constructed around ten years ago, electric karts weren’t yet a mature technology at the time, hence the significant investment in hall ventilation instead. Petrol-powered karts also offer a particular appeal for Racing sessions, which is appreciated by experienced drivers. Our second complex in Antwerp uses electric karts, so the transition is underway, just not on the cards for Eupen yet.

At Experience Factory Eupen, it’s really more about height than age: you need to be at least 1.30 m tall to reach the pedals and drive solo. Children between 1.20 m and 1.30 m can already ride accompanied by an adult in a duo kart. For younger or more nervous kids, Bambini sessions are offered daily.

There’s no group coaching for adults, but private lessons with a coach are available to help you improve your lap times.

Junior karts have a less powerful engine than adult karts, but are lighter and more agile, allowing them to reach a comparable speed. They are a great step before moving up to an adult kart.

Racing sessions are reserved for drivers aged 14+ or at least 1.60 m tall, as well as Silver licence holders, with a real focus on speed and performance. Family sessions are suited to mixed groups of children and parents.

Yes, three karting camps are organised each year: Carnival, Easter and Summer.

Racing School takes place once a month on a Sunday and is aimed at drivers with a Silver licence who want to improve their technique. Private lessons are also available.

Start2Race is a training course offered once a month on a Wednesday for children discovering karting. Unlike Bambini sessions, parents do not take part in the course.

Bambini sessions are designed to give younger or more nervous children the best possible first karting experience. Family sessions are suitable for a wider range of drivers, allowing children and parents to drive together in a fun setting.

Yes, there are 2 licences: Silver, which gives children under 14 access to Racing sessions before reaching the usual age or height requirement, and Gold, which gives access to Monday All In PRO sessions and official SWS races on Tuesday evenings. Both licences are earned by achieving the required lap times.

Progression depends on your age, your height and your lap times. Younger drivers move from Bambini sessions to Family sessions, and then to Racing sessions once they meet the age or height requirement. Children under 14 can gain earlier access to Racing sessions by earning a Silver licence: simply create an Experience ID, complete at least one Family session and beat the required lap time. More experienced drivers can then aim for a Gold licence, earned by setting an even faster lap time during a Racing session, which gives access to Monday All In PRO sessions and to the official SWS races on Tuesday evenings.

Family sessions allow children and parents to drive together in a fun and relaxed setting, sharing the track with other children, teenagers and adults. Several sessions take place every day before 7pm.

Bambini sessions are designed for young or nervous children discovering karting for the first time. They take place daily, usually at the beginning of our opening hours (generally 4pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends). We recommend booking ahead to secure your spot.

For adults discovering karting who want to gain more experience on track, All In offers 4×18-minute sessions, giving you plenty of track time alongside other drivers to get to grips with the kart and improve your pace. Unlike Start2Race and Racing School for children, All In is not a coaching programme but an opportunity to gain experience through more intensive driving. We also offer private lessons, which are ideal for adults: our coaches are drivers who know the track inside out and are recognised both here and elsewhere, and they’ll give you the best insights and tips to help you progress.

At Experience Factory Eupen, progression works by session type rather than simply by speed level: Bambini for children under 10 or those who are a bit nervous, Family for riding together in a mixed group of children and parents, and Racing for experienced drivers (14+ or 1.60 m+, or Silver licence holders). For younger drivers up to the age of 15-16, two courses are also available to help them progress: Start2Race and Racing School.

No experience is required to try axe throwing.

Axe throwing is very accessible: the only restrictions concern children under 14, people with a blood alcohol level above 0.5 g/L, and people under the influence of drugs. Beyond that, there are no other restrictions.

You must be at least 14 years old to throw an axe.

Axe throwing is a bit like an XXL version of darts: you throw an axe and try to hit a target. It’s an activity that’s as spectacular as it is accessible.

Yes, the view from the bar is excellent, and you can get close to the track to cheer the drivers on from right beside the action.

There’s no real minimum. However, if you order a cake through us, please note that our cakes are available for groups of 10 people.

Yes. Our briefings and hosting run in French, German and English, and we regularly welcome groups from Germany and the Netherlands.

Our karting teambuildings start at 20 participants, and the track is then private for your group alone. From 40 people we run a competition with a small and a grand final. Catering is possible from 15 people.

Several drivers take turns in the same kart, as at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: 15 minutes of qualifying, then the race. It lasts one hour, two hours or more, depending on what we agree with you, as does the team line-up. Consistency and tactics count as much as speed, which makes it the most unifying format for a team. The track is private for your group from 20 participants.

Karting on more than 1 km of indoor track and axe throwing in our six lanes, with the arcades joining soon. The two activities combine freely, with catering on site.

Allow two hours for two karting sessions, one and a half hours for an axe throwing format and about three and a half hours for the two combined. An endurance race takes a little over two hours. The briefing and the handover of equipment are included in those times, the meal comes on top.

Ideally, book 6 weeks in advance to have the best chance of getting your preferred time slot. But even at the last minute, feel free to contact us. We’ll do our best to find a solution.

We have meeting rooms available free of charge if your group also books karting and a meal with us. Otherwise, the rate is €400 per half-day.

A karting teambuilding starts at € 56 per person for two 18-minute sessions, briefing and equipment included. With a three-course meal and a drink, expect 100 to 125 € per person. The final price depends on the number of participants, the track time and the catering format chosen.

For exclusive use of the track (recommended for corporate events), a minimum of 20 paying karts is required. Smaller company groups are of course welcome too. We can generally accommodate around 250 to 300 people, and we can even offer solutions for larger groups.

As long as it is permitted by law, you can smoke on the terrace. In the future, this will no longer be possible, except in the designated area outside the entrance.

Like any tourist attraction, we’re insured for incidents that are our responsibility. Creating an Experience ID doesn’t release us from our responsibilities. That said, everyone remains responsible for their own actions: for example, if you deliberately drive your kart straight into a wall, we won’t be held liable.

Every new visitor goes through a mandatory safety briefing (spoken or video) before their first karting session. Wearing a helmet is compulsory, and the number of karts on track is limited depending on the session type (15 to 32). For axe throwing, participants must be at least 14 years old and must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

As an indoor activity, it’s mostly busy on weekends with families. It’s also busier during school holidays and in bad weather than on a sunny weekday.

Yes, pets are allowed inside the building, as long as they’re kept on a leash so as not to disturb other guests.

Yes, a free Wi-Fi network called “karting guest” is available (password: kartingeupen).

The complex is equipped for visitors with reduced mobility: the entrance is step-free, and a lift serves the other floors. We also have an adapted kart for drivers with reduced mobility (hand dexterity is required to use it) – please let us know in advance if you’d like to use it.

You can reach us by train via Welkenraedt station – from there, bus line 710 (Eupen) stops just 200 m away. The building is also right along the E40 motorway (exit 38, Eupen), and we have a large free car park with 120 spaces.

In the site’s menu bar, you can see at a glance whether we’re open today and what time we open.

Our hours adapt to school holidays and public holidays across the different regions around us (Wallonia, NRW, Dutch Limburg, Luxembourg…). As a rule, we open at 11am on weekends, 2pm on Wednesdays, and 4pm the rest of the week, closing every day at 10pm.
